Jan. 01, 1970 - Pictured: 4 year old Martin Brown, who is one of the two children who were killed by 11 year old Mary Bell - (exact date unknown) - Mary Bell became notorious at 11 after being convicted of strangling two small boys. Mary Bell was sentenced to life detention for the manslaughter of 4 year old Martin Brown and 3 years old Brian Howe, at Scots cod, New castle. The police launched an investigation and Mary Bell was arrested on Saturday 25th May 1968
