Nov. 11, 1965 - Mauretania Sails Into Southampton For Last Time: The 26-year old liner, Mauretania, sailed into Southampton yesterday for the last time. The 35, 600-ton liner has been sold for scrap. The 60-year old master, Captain John Treasure Jones, is expected to take command of the liner Queen Mary.
