Max Greger and his jazz band, going on tour to USSR

Jun. 06, 1959 - Max Greger is going on tour through the USSR: On June 1st, 1959, the 33-year-old band leader Max Greger, together with his jazz-band, drove in a bus from Munich to East-Berlin where the band will change onto a train to Moscow. There the first concert will be held on June 5th. The tour will lead them for 10 days to Moscow and for several days to Leningrad, Kiev, Minsk, Odessa and then on a 16-hour flight to Siberia. On the programme are: medium jazz, German pop-songs, and American compositions by Duke Ellington, George Gershwin and the Glenn-Miller-Arrangement of the film Adopted Happiness (Adoptiertes Gluck).
