Memorial to anti-Nazi resistance fighters, Berlin
Jul. 07, 1953 - Anti-Hitler memorial unveiled in Berlin. Anniversary of Plot: Widows and children of executed anti-Nazi resistance fighters attended the unveilling in Berlin recently of a memorial to the victims of the anti-Hitler plot of 20 July 1944. The memorial was unveiled by Herr Reuter the Lord Mayor of Berlin who described the plot as a beginning like June 17th 1953 the date of the beginning of the recent riots in East Germany. Photo shows Professor Reuter (right) and some of the relatives seen after the unveiling ceremony in the grounds of the former Reich War Ministry in Berlin
