Memorial by Herbert Peters on site of synagogue, Munich
Nov. 11, 1969 - Memorial on Site of Synagogue.: Where formerly stood the synagogue in Munich, before it was destroyed in the so-called Kristallnacht in 1938 (9th to 10th November), a memorial has now been erected. The memorial is by the Munich sculptor, Herbert Peters, seen here, on right, with Mr. Grunewald in front of the memorial. The funds for the memorial were provided by the municipal authority of Munich. The memorial was officially inaugurated on Sunday (Nov. 9)
