May 05, 1951 - Press view of the Newly reconstructed house of Lords: A press view was held today of the newly reconstructed House of Lords to which the Lords will return on May 29th. after an absence of 10 years. The extensive damage caused by bombing in 1941 has been repaired microphones and loud speakers have been installed to improve the acoustics. The thrones and Woolsack, together with other furniture has been returned to its rightful home and the Chamber is once again back to its splendid condition.
