Jan. 26, 1954 - Revival Of Tribute To General Gordon: Youngsters from the Gordon Boys School woking - were to be seen placing a wreath on the Gordon Memorial, which has been re-erected in the garden which is being laid out between the new Government Offices in Whitehall Gardens and the Victoria Embankment - this morning - the anniversary of the General Assassination. The annual ceremony was discontinues in 1939. Three boy pipers seen as they take part in the ceremony this morning. Placing the wreath is Colour Sgt Peter Barton of Portsmouth (16)
