Jun. 06, 1955 - World's First Guided Missile Control Gear Handed Over to Imperial War Museum - Lord Brabazon this Morning Handed over to the Imperial War Museum - the Control Gear of the World's First Guided Missile - in a Box 2 ft. long and 1 ft. wide - on befalf of the Inventor Professor am Low.They were the Actual Controls of a flying-Bomb Invented during the carly part of the 1914-18 War and flown in 1917-and of a guided missile invented in 1918.these Exhibits will prove to the world that Britai was first - with Guided Missiles In spite of reports claiming that so many other countries were first - including Germany; America; France; italy and Russia.All Patents of the Earliest missiles were kept secret until 1923.
