The loud - speaker and a mike which is build into the telephone are the answer to the wish of many persons who want to have their hands free during a phone-call. The additional receiver is used if one does not want other persons present to listen in. Besides, the Silofon amplifies the conversation to such extent that one can hear much better than with a normal telephone
