Oct. 10, 1957 - The Island Of Marken Is Now Part Of The Dutch Mainland: Marken the well known Island off the coast of Holland - has now been connected with the mainland - and is part of Holland proper - An official ceremony was held as the duke was closed - when the Burhemaster of Marken 0 Mr.B.C.
