Jul. 25, 1955 - New eruption of the North East Crater of Mount Etna-Sicily: Flames-smoke and clouds of vapour sh high into the sky in the recent eruption of the Illegible North East Crater on top of Mount Etna in Sicily. The Crater is 3150 metres above sea level. Molten Illegible poured over the rim moving forward at the rate of Illegible 20 metres a day. Every seven minutes there was a Illegible explosion accompanied by a further rain of fire- Illegible lava and vapour. Photo shows The scene during one of the Illegible explosions which sent a hail of molten lava into the sky and down the volcano side
