Feb. 28 Spanish Moss Faver Dykes State Park, located below St. Augustine, is one of the natural beauty spots visited by John James Audubon when the great naturalist visited Florida in 1831-32. Other points of interest in the area are the ruins of the Bulow Plantation, where Audubon was a guest and Ponce de Leon Springs, near DeLand, which he called Spring Garden
