Mar. 27 London Bridge Goes: The difficult of unbuilding a bridge seem to be considerably more than those of building one unbuilding asposed to demolishing. And that is exactly what is happening to London Bridge. For its effort of Lake Hevean, Arizona - the bridge must be literally taken to pieces, stone by stone. and each stone of the bridge which was beautifully built in 1931, must be numbered according to a master plan. And no stone must be cut or broken though some weigh up to three tons. Then they are carefully stored in order - so that they can be put together again, five those and miles. And to prevent the most demoralising disaster steel supports are built under the stone archs while the work is going on - they can't have London Bridge falling down. Photo shows Londoners look up at their partly demolished bridge in the background in Tower Bridge
