1960 - Montmarte to have new museum: After years of negotiations the museum of old Monmartre previously installed in a tumbledown house near the Montmartre Celeterey, will open next June in the old building once occupied by members of Moliere's troupe at 12 Ru Cortot, stop the Butte Montmartre. The new museum is located in the rear of 17th-Centruy Farmhouse where Degas, Renoir, Suzanne Valadon, Maurcie Utrillo and many other artists had their studios.
