1966 - The Waterloo Lion Is On The Move Again: Waterloo Station's Famous Lion is n the move again to its third home of rest in its 129 years of existence. Its new resting place is on the Sourth side of Westminster Bridge facing the House, of Commons. The lion weight 13tons and is 13ftft and 12ft high. It used to adern the former Lion Brewery on the South Bank. It was moved to Waterloo Station entrance for the Festival of Britain in 1951 and now has to be removed because of redevelopment of the site.
