1968 - Huge Naval Gun Outside Imperial War Museum: View showing the huge 15-inch gun - one of two acquired by the Imperial War Museum - which are being mounted at the front entrance to the museum. This gun was, from 1915 to 1938 mounted on H.M.S. Resolution. It was then mounted aboard H.M.S. Roberts, where it fired it's first hots in anger on D-Day when it formed part of the Houlgate Battery, Sword Beach, Normandy
