Mar. 03, 1967 - Grand Opening nears for Expo 67: Exhibitors at Canada's 1967 International Exposition are working round the clock in a frantic effort to be ready for its grand opening in Montreal on April 28th. Over 70 countries are participating in the exposition which is expected to draw 35 million visitors by the time it closes on October 27th. The Expo, three years in the making, is so vast that it covers a 1, 000 acre site. Architecturally, it is the most advanced venture ever attempted, abundant in designs ranging from the traditional and nationalists to the way out fantastic.
