Sep. 02, 1980 - Face wash for Big Ben ? This week the four faces of Big Ben are having annual three yearly wash and brush up. The work is being carried out contractors, W. Larkin Ltd (steeplejacks), of Roydon, Essex. During the cleaning, the clock continue to function.
