Metal address plates found near former Gestapo HQ, Kiel
Jun. 06, 1959 - Bomb searchers found Gestapo file Munition searchers in Kiel (Germany) made an discovery. While searching for possible stray munitions they found a zinc-box (about 1 meter below the surface containing several thousand iron plates for printing machines. Next to the place, were the Gestapo Headquarters in the past. The address plates were probably buried there shortly before the end of the second world war. The ministry of the interior is presently examining whether amongst the names of firms, organisations and private people can be found who were Gestapo Agents
