Apr. 14, 1981 - Michael Jayston to star in'The Sound of Music': Actor Michael Jayston has been cast in the much sought after role of Captain von Trapp in the legendary musical The Sound of Music which opens at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London, on August 17th. After a six month search Michael joins the cast alongside Petula Clark and Honor Blackman. He was at the theatre today with some of the little girls who have also been picked to appear in the musical.
