Mikis Theodorakis, Greek composer, in hospital in Rome
Feb. 28 Theodorakis progressing.: Mikis Theodorakis, Greek composer, was reported in good condition after an appendicitis operation he underwent at a clinic in Rome. The 42-year-old composer of music of Zorba had the surgery less than a day after he spoke at a Communist-sponsored rally to protest against the Army-backed Greek regime and the NATO alliance. Theodorakis was released from prison and allowed to leave Greece a month and a half ago to get treatment in Paris for tuberculosis
