The Squadron Is The First Navy Organized Reserve Squadron To Be Deployed Overseas During Peacetime.Captain John L. Couniean, USN, Commanding Officer Of The Naval Air Reserve Training Unit, Jackson Ville, Will Accompany The Deployment With Members Of His Staff To Observe The Operations For Possible Future Deployment Overseas Of Other All Reserve Squadrons. While Overseas The Squadron Will Participate In Anti Submarine Warfare And Mining Exercises With The U.S. Sixth Fleet In The Mediterranean Area
