Battalion Black Watch was awarded the Military Medal for the heroic action in Korea in which - according to the citation - Took over Command when his section commander was wounded, and although hit, crawled to silence an enemy machine-gun. Cpl. Manning was rescued from the ridge after his great action - and it was found that both his ankles were riddled with shrapnel and that his right leg was broken in three places. all he wants to do now is to sign on again with the Black Watch - but it depends on the progress of his wounds.Photo Shows L/Cpl.
