Aug. 08, 1953 - Rescued from Bomber crash. Photo shows Sergeant Roy Speers, who was rescued from the U.S. aircraft which came down in the Atlantic recently, shaking hands with the master of the rescue ship Manchester Skipper which picked him up after he had been ten hours afloat. The aircraft, an atom bomber, was on its way to England, when it crashed in flames into the Atlantic
