Nov. 11, 1953 - Bavarian Sepp became American Joe: Two years before, Sepp Asam from Munich, Bavaria(Germany), was jobless. Then he got a letter from his uncle in America: Come over, Sepp! and Sepp set out for the States, where his uncle has a big butchery. He was called Joe now, and after he had been civilian for 6 months he became a soldier in US Air Force. Now, two years after his departure, he took the chance of leave to see his parents and friends in good old Munich. A soldier on leave he came home, and on the table for regular guests in the tavern, former frequented regularly by him, the people said:'Ami came home! Look at Sepp - he has become Joe! and many pots of beer had been taken
