Feb. 02, 1955 - American Admiral sees deck landing aid in H.M.S. Albion. Vice Admiral Thomas S. Coombs, USN, Commander 6th Fleet in H.M.S. Albion inspecting the mirror landing aid, the device developed by the Royal Navy to reduce the risk of accidents while deck landing. Admiral Coombs went aboard by Helicopter during the combined British - U.S. Naval exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean. Also in the Picture are Lieut. Commander W.G.
