Mar. 03, 1958 - NATIONAL FOREST, LAUREL MISS: The U.S Army's new aluminum fire fighting suit, now undergoing intensive action tests, is made of flame retardant, treated alumnized kraft paper laminated with a flame-resistant adhesive to a reflective aluminum foil. The face mask is provided with a patter of tiny holes which permit visibility. The suit, which is an Army Quartermaster research project, is designed for free movement. It will fit over the duty uniform and allows the user to wear a steal helmet and breathing apparatus
