Mar. 03, 1958 - Philadelphia, PA.: A new experimental airborne vehicle, being developed for the US Army transportation corps by Piinecki aircraft corporation, is expected to perform most of the tasks of the conventional ground jeep and to have the charactiristics of a small helicopter. A full-scale mockup is now being used in the developing of a flying prototype. The vehicle is designed for use as a light utility transport, an observation platform or artillery director, and as an airial platform for close support and hit-and-run tactics
