Oct. 10, 1958 - Security Forces Hunt For Cyprus Bomb Throwers.. General Darling Visits Kyhrea Area: Pull scale searched are being carried out in Cyprus by Security forces - hunting for terrorists who have been throwing bombs at cars and armoured vehicles during the past few days. Among those killed in the bomb attacks was 76 year old Britisher Commander John Brooks when a bomb exploded beneath the car in which he and his wife were travelling on a mountain road near Kantara. Mrs. Brooks who is 72 was seriously injured - having two broken legs and fractured skull.
