Jul. 07, 1958 - United States Secretary of the Navy Thomas S. Gates, Jr. called on West German Defense Ministry officials this morning for an on-the-spot discussion of matters of mutual interest with West German and American officials. His visit was scheduled to last five days and to include talks with Dr. Josef Rust, State Secretary of Defense; General Adolf Heusinger, military head of the German armed forces, and Admiral Friedrich Ruge, chief of the German Navy.
