Mar. 03, 1959 - It did not thunder on the thunder mountain. When on March 19th soldiers of the artillery school on the Donersberg (Donnersberg - Thunder mountain) near Eschweiler/Germany showed an Honest John Rocket to the press. The learner group D of the German artillery school which has been educated at the 762 Milli - meter rocket which is about 8 meters long and weighs 2500 kilogram, on Thursday showed the putting together and putting up of one of these missiles. But none of the Misailes was launched because the rocket has a range of 8 to 25 kilometers. Until now. the bundeswehr (German army) has bought 288 of these rockets. one of which costs. without detonator - head, about 60, 000 Dm (a bout 50500 pounds)
