Apr. 26, 1960 - M.P. lives as a refugee in center of Gateshead; In an effort to raise funds for the World Refugee year Mr. Harry Randall M.P. for Gateshead on Tyne lived for two days as a Refugee on a corner site in High Street, Gateshead. He used a tin hut make shift table and chair bed candles and refugee rations. He cooked his meals on a wood burning brazier on the Ker side as traffic passed.
