Oct. 10, 1961 - US helicopter exploded in the air. Near Wissing in the Upper Palatine (West-Germany) a large American transporting helicopter, coming from the manoeuvre area and Hohenfels, exploded in the air and then crashed to the ground. Six were killed in the accident, on of them the commanding General of the 32nd American Air-Defence Brigade General Henry Spengler
