Jan. 27, 1962 - Royal Navy divers in Antartica: The duties of HMS Protector, the Royal Navy's ice patrol ship, mean that her divers have to operate in the ice floes of the Antarctic. The team recently had to dive in the Bransfield Strait during Antarctic seismic trails to free the propeller of the Royal Research Ship Shackleton.
