Jun. 20, 1962 - American-trained Guerrillas in Laos.: With the coalition Government for Laos and peace in sight, a note of alarm has been sounded by the leader are scattered through territory - otherwise occupied by Communist Pathet Lao forces, and who are armed by the Americans to carry on guerrilla war. In addition, the Royal Laotian Army continues to be trained by a cadre of officers and NCOs from Okinawa-based 1st Special Forces Group, U.S. Army. These pictures were taken at the 5th Military Region Training Centre at Camp Chinaimo, about eight miles from Vientiane, where the Americans are teaching Royal Laotian soldiers the know-how of guerrilla warfare, and providing the equipment.
