Mar. 03, 1964 - At noon today, the Gargenville, near Paris, disabled railway station was shaken by the tremors of a series of 140 explosions : technicians were reconstructing the bombing of a German train during the last war for the filming of The Train which starts Burt Lancaster. More than a kilometer of tranches had been dug to control the different explosions. Moreover three holes had been provided for the technicians and six more for the cameras which filmed the entire blasting. Photo shows Reports have been provided with helmets to film the blast at a distance of a mile from the railway station
