The army relaxed to give them a here's welcome when 40 officers and men of the Parachute Regiment waved their red berets in greeting as the plane landed at London Airport. The carsmen Sergeant Charles Blythe and Captain John Ridgway, were on English soil for the first time since they left to start their 92-day voyage across the Atlantic from America.
