Jul. 07, 1968 - US-Europe Air Force changes command General Maurice A. Preston, center, turned over command of the United States Air Forces in Europe to General Horace M. Weds, right, during a Wiesbaden Air Base Flightline Ceremony. General Lyman L. Lemnitzer, left, supreme allied commander in Europe and commander of the United States Forces in Europe headed the list of military dignitaries for the change of ceremonies. General WAde hase served as Air force deputy chief of staff for personnel sin 1 August 1966, the date on which General Preston became USAFE commander in chief. Keystone Photo 30.07.68
