Bernard W. Rogers is born at July 16th 1921 in Fairview in Kansas/USA. He studied at the Kansas State College, later at Military Academy West Point (1940/43), theh he was at Oxford/England (1947/50) and on the US Army War College (1959/60. The four star general (since November 1974), he was in the years 1960-62 in West Germany, won last chief of staff of the US Army
