Aug. 08, 1977 - Miss Ireland Presents Cheese To Irish Guards At The Tower Of London: A 401b. block of Irish Cheddar cheese was presented to the Irish Guards by Miss Ireland, 18 year old Jakki Moore from Ardilea near Dublin, at the Tower of London today with the compliments of the Irish Cheddar Association. Miss Ireland is also the reigning Irish Dairy Queen. Two guardsmen in full regimental dress received the cheese which was carved up with a bayonet for instant sampling. Also in the act was Cormac of Tara, an Irish Wolfhound who is the mascot of the Irish Guards. Photo shows Cormac of Tara, the Irish Wolfhound and mascot of the Irish Guards gets stuck into the cheese as Miss Ireland cuts it up for sampling by the irish guards at the Tower of London today
