Jul. 07, 1973 - Preparing for the Miss Universe contest: Beauties from 72 countries have gathered in Athens for the forthcoming Miss Universe 1973 contest, which will be held at the ancient theatre of Herodes Atticus below the Acropolis. For the first time the beauty queens will not parade in bathing suits but in evening dresses, since the archaeological service of Greece stated that the ancient Greek civilisation does not match with a beauty contest of semi-nude girls.
