Mme Messmer with penguin destined for Rouzic Island

Jul. 25, 1973 - An unsolicited demonstration just occurred in Lannion. Penguins were put on Rouzic Island, across from Perros-Guirec, to replace those that were destroyed during the 1967 black tide. Madame Messmer and Paul Emile Victor welcomed the charming birds. This initiative was funded by the Berger Foundation for the preservation of nature.
