Model demonstrates Dynatone facial exerciser, London
Oct. 28, 1968 - Electronics comes to the aid of beauty demonstration at the Savoy Hotel, London: Electronics has come to the aid of beauty and a demonstration of the Dynatone Facial Exerciser, and Portable Body Exerciser at the Savoy Hotel today. The Facial Exerciser is no bigger than a cigarette packet and is operated by an ordinary 9-volt battery. By holding it lightly to the face for three minutes, it sends gentle electronic impulses to the 57 delicate muscles in the face and neck, causing them to contract and relax rhythmically, helping to reduce the ageing effect of fine lines. As with the Facial Exerciser, the Portable Body Exerciser is based on the therapeutic principle used in hospitals to exercise muscles of bedridden patients. It consists of a adjustable belt with four strategically placed pads which can be worn by the person as they move freely around the house. It operates on the same electronic principle as the Facial Exerciser. Photo shows Sonia Robinson, 20, demonstrates the new Facial Exerciser at the Savoy Hotel today
