Jan. 01, 1974 - Premiere of new theatre play by David Rudkin Aches at Hamburg's Deutsches Schauspielhaus': This new play by British TV and theatre author David Rudkin, 37, previously associated with the Royal Shakespeare Company, has been put on stage of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg by director Ulrich Heising Just now. The plot depicts the story of a married couple longing desperately for a child. In order to achieve this aim, the couple undergoes all kinds of medical tests and examinations. After husband and wife decide finally on adopting a child, the bureaucratic hindrances which the two have to overcome, are portrayed as minutely and realistically as the medical tests on stage.
