The artist - born in Bern in 1922 - first made herself acquainted with the work of a mason before she started her studies with the well-known sculptor Milo Martin of Lausanne. After the war the artist visited Sweden and spent several years studying in Rome and some time in the United States. She paid a visit to the workshop of the British sculptor Henry Moore which was of greatest importance for her. The sculptures of the artist are something between the plain sculpture and plastical drawing. OPS:- Mother and Child (bronze)
