Jan. 24, 1953 - The Spectators Killed Thirty Si Injured In Argentine Grans Prix Car Crash: Ten spectators were killed and thirty six were injured during the International Motor Car Race for the Argentine Grand Prix in Buenos Aires. The Italian driver Nino Farina lost control of his car at a bend and dashed into a group of people who had climber over the barrier to get a better view - when the police were unable to control the 300, 000 strong crowd.
