Sep. 09, 1954 - Ronnie Moore wins world speedway championship. 21-year old New Zealander, Ronnie Moore, of Wimbledon, last night won the world speedway and Brian crutches, of wembley, tied for second place, and crutcher won the run off, phto shows Ronnie Moore, holding the Sunday dispatch trophy, with Brian Crutchr and Olle Nygren seen on the tractor durng the triumphant ride round the track - after last night's championship at Wembley
