Mar. 05, 1955 - Stirling Moss Returns with car gift after his great Triumph in the Mille Miglia: Stirling Moss, the British racing motorist, who driving a Mercedes-Benz, earned the distinction of being the first Briton to win the Mille Miglia, the 1, 000 - mile motor road race in Italy. returned to Britain today by air. He brought with him a Mercedes 220 80h.p. sports touring car, a victory gift presented to him by the makers as a token of his great triumph.
