Mar. 03, 1956 - Stirling Moss tries out the Motameta visit to amusement trade exhibition.: Racing Motorists Stirling Moss and Frase Nash paid a visit this morning to the 12th.annual Amusement Trades Exhibition at Horticultural Hall. They bot tried out the Motameta, which is an accurate scientific instrument for measuring the speed of thought. Produced by Ardecar Ltd. of Kings Cross is an apparatus which measuers the time lapse between a driver seeing the red light. applying the brakes and stopping. Stirling Moss created a minor sensation by recording the time of 2.2 tenths of a second which is equivalent of stopping in 9.6 ft. (The recognised average stopping time is 45 ft.).
