Aug. 17, 1956 - Austin-Healey breaks sixteen year old speed records at Bonneville sale lake flats. With Mr. Roy Jackson-Moore of Los Angeles at the wheel-this modified Austin-Healey Hundred recently broke internatinoal Class D and American records at Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah, U.S.A. The car covered 200 miles at 152.51 m.p.h and 500 kilometres in 1940. The car is basically a standard Austin Healey Hundred chassis and body slightly modified to adapt it to a single seater and to improve streamline characteristics. The car is fitted with Dunlop disc brakes, disc wheels and high speed tyres.
